F-Sim Space Shuttle is an immersive flight simulator available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that allows you to experience the thrill of landing the Space Shuttle. The simulator offers an incredibly detailed and accurate representation of the Space Shuttle approach and landing.

The developers of F-Sim Space Shuttle have successfully combined realistic flight dynamics with stunning graphics and enjoyable gameplay. Each landing attempt takes just a few minutes, ensuring that the experience remains engaging. Additionally, the landing analysis and scoring system provides valuable feedback on how to improve future landings, encouraging you to keep coming back for more.

Unlike traditional flight simulators, F-Sim Space Shuttle places you in a unique situation where you have to land an unpowered glider. With the Orbiter weighing 200,000 lbs., the approaching process is six times steeper and twice as fast as a typical airliner approach, making it challenging but rewarding. While practicing these landings is crucial, the built-in autopilot demos and tutorials will help you get started.

Apart from honing your piloting skills, you can also compare your high scores online with friends, earn medals, unlock achievements, and experiment with different weather conditions, night approaches, and emergency scenarios. Additionally, after each flight, you can watch replays from various camera angles.

To control the Orbiter's pitch and roll axes, you can tilt your device or use on-screen analog sticks if preferred. The autopilot typically handles the rudder, speed brake, gear, and chute; however, manual control is available for those who desire it. For beginners, visualizations in the form of rectangles guide the desired approach path. Advanced pilots can choose to rely on the instruments in the head-up display (HUD) instead.

The simulated guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems in F-Sim Space Shuttle are authentic replications of the real Orbiter's counterparts. The HUD features all the instruments utilized by Space Shuttle commanders to skillfully land the aircraft.
